1. Who we are

Shipnex is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses the platform — customers, merchants, and couriers — and to processing their personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) issued in Saudi Arabia and its implementing regulations. This policy explains the data we actually collect, why we process it, and your rights over it.

The party responsible for processing your data is Shipnex — a limited liability company registered in Saudi Arabia, commercial registration number 7054573881, based at Building 8310, Salman bin Abdulaziz Street, Al Rayyan District, Unaizah 56241, Saudi Arabia.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect the minimum the service needs to run:

A note on payment: electronic payments are processed by a licensed payment provider; the platform does not store your bank card numbers.

3. What we do with your data

• Fulfilling, delivering, and tracking orders — the service's core purpose.
• Processing payments, refunds, settlements, and invoices.
• Communicating with you about your order's status (notifications, messages).
• Protecting the platform from fraud and misuse, and securing accounts.
• Improving service quality (for example, the accuracy of arrival times).
• Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. To stop them at any time, email us at admin@shipnex.sa — turning them off from the app's own settings is coming soon.

4. Who we share it with

• A courier sees the delivery address and the pickup details needed to fulfil the current order only.
• A merchant sees the order contents needed to prepare it, and never sees your payment method or your delivery details.
• Service providers (payment, messaging, hosting) process data on our behalf, only to the extent their service requires, under confidentiality obligations.
• Government authorities, when a binding legal request is made under applicable law.
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Cross-border transfers

Shipnex does not transfer your personal data outside Saudi Arabia today. If that changes, we will update this policy before it takes effect.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or to meet legal requirements (such as financial records and invoices). After that, it is deleted or securely anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

• Know how your data is processed (which is what this policy explains).
• Request access to your personal data with us and get a copy of it.
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
• Request deletion of your data once the purpose it was collected for has ended, subject to legal requirements.
• Withdraw your consent to marketing processing at any time.

8. How we keep your data secure

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access to data restricted on a need-to-know basis, and audit logs for sensitive operations.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you today.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and will notify you of any material change through the app. The date at the top of this page always shows the last update.
